Cellular EcoPort Module Installation Guide

What you will need:​
- Device with internet connectivity and photo-taking capability (can be done through installer device)
- EcoPort AC LTE-LP module
- Antenna for EcoPort Module
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- 10-foot extension cable for low-signal environment

Instructions:

Using your Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the cover from the CTA-2045 port of the water heater. This should be a small black rectangle.

Take your EcoPort module out of the white box and attach the provided antenna to the small metal port on the right side of the module.

Plug your EcoPort module into the EcoPort on the water heater. It should only fit one way.

It should light up with solid then blinking white under ‘Status’. Wait until the ‘Status’ LED holds a steady blue light for more than 15 seconds consecutively. Give it at least 3 minutes to achieve this state.

If your ‘Status’ light is holding blue, proceed to Final. If not, continue to Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting

If your status light is not holding steady, remove the EcoPort module from power source.

Once removed from power, remove the antenna and attach the 10-foot extension cable provided by SkyCentrics to the metal port on the EcoPort module and attach the provided antenna to the end of the extension cable.

The extension cable should be used to move the antenna away from the water heater, upwards, and towards a window.

Once this is accomplished, reconnect your EcoPort module to the power source.
The EcoPort will try to reconnect. Please give this process up to 3 minutes before trying anything else.
5. Once the EcoPort module is showing a steady blue light, move to Final.
Final
1. Using your Phillips-head screwdriver, use the provided screws from your EcoPort LTE box to secure the EcoPort module in place, using the two holes on the front of the module.
