The Super SkyBox (SSB) is SkyCentrics’ Linux-based edge device for connecting, managing, and modernizing buildings. Super SkyBox brings fragmented building systems onto a common foundation using open protocols such as BACnet and Modbus, automatically discovers building assets on the local network, executes control logic locally or from the cloud, and securely connects buildings to SkyCentrics DREAM™. The result is a faster, simpler path from disconnected building systems to portfolio-wide visibility, control, and AI readiness.

As a modern alternative to the supervisory-control and edge-computing functions traditionally handled by a Tridium JACE, the SSB delivers these capabilities at approximately one-quarter of the cost, while opening the door to machine learning supervisory control and local orchestration of systems beyond HVAC. The SSB can run containerized applications, local analytics, custom control logic, digital-twin integrations, and AI models directly on-site, reducing dependence on proprietary platforms and cloud-only processing.

SSB keeps your infrastructure portfolio connected, with resilient, locally backed up data. SSB stores up to ten years of data locally, and can communicate through local network, independent cellular LTE, or Wi-Fi HaLow, providing flexible connectivity where traditional IT infrastructure is difficult or unavailable.
