The Mildred C. Hailey Modernization Project is a collaboration between the Boston Housing Authority (BHA) and SkyCentrics. Phase 1 connects two Mitsubishi building systems to SkyCentrics' cloud-based monitoring and automation infrastructure, giving BHA a unified view of HVAC and water-heating performance.

On-Site Deployment

SkyCentrics deployed a Super SkyBox in the HEAT2O (QAHV) control panel and connected it to the panel's network switch. The Mitsubishi AE-200A controller is connected to the same switch, allowing the Super SkyBox to discover BACnet points from both systems and transmit selected data to the SkyCentrics DREAM Platform. The gateway can use the building's Ethernet connection or an optional cellular connection when local network access is unavailable.

Fast, Low-Complexity Installation

The deployment was designed as a fast, low-complexity installation using existing network and power connections, creating a plug-and-play path to active cloud monitoring. With Phase 1 complete, the project has moved into active monitoring — giving BHA ongoing visibility into two of the building's key mechanical systems through a single cloud platform.
